AS TOLD BY THE REVELATOR EDITOR AS FIRST HAND WITNESS
Back in the 1980’s, I was at the home of a friend, George ***** in Kerrs Road in Christchurch New Zealand just as police were conducting a drug raid. As I walked unexpectedly into the lounge I saw a police officer whip out a small bag with Marijuana in it from his pocket and place it in the china cabinet on the north west side of the room – he turned and saw he had been caught out so whipped it back into his pocket and said agressively – you saw nothing if you don’t want to be locked up for drug possession – intimating he would use that bag to arrest me. I have never been a drug user of even possessed any drug and still don’t. I firmly believe he would have charged myself, an innocent bystander and condemned me to prison because of what I saw him do – break the law and conduct an illegal search. I later informed Mr ***** what I had seen and he passed it on to his lawyer. No charges were filed against either of us. They should have been filed against the crooked cop!
